"An Act Requiring Notice to Employees of Electronic Monitoring By Employees," Substitute House Bill No. 5398, File No. 641. This Act, approved by Connecticut's House and Senate, will require employers who engage in electronic monitoring to give affected employees prior written notice. If signed by the Governor, the Act will become effective October 1, 1998, and carry civil penalties of $500 for a first offense, $1,000 for a second offense, and $3,000 for each subsequent offense.
